I’m doing a series on the new squidangels. I asked all angels that hadn’t been interviewed by me yet – and in the coming weeks will be publishing the interviews with those who responded to my call. EverythingMouse is not just an angel, but a giant squid top hundred member too (194 right now).

Why are you a squidoo lensmaster?

I started because I wanted to promote my Disney vacation home and writing business. I found that I had a lot of success with this but also it has grown to be so much more. I am almost at my 2 year Squidoo Birthday. I enjoy writing, the sense of achievement and also get so much out of being part of the Squidoo community. Oh and the money is very nice too!

What is your favorite lens?

This is a difficult one as I have so many favorites. I think I am more proud of the recent ones as I think I have just got so much better with experience. My favorite at the moment is Disney’s Cinderella Castle. It is about my favorite subject and I have had really great feedback on it not only within Squidoo but from other Disney fans – so I think that is why I like it so much, knowing that others appreciate and enjoy it.

What lens of yours is most under appreciated?

I think it has to be Not Just Another Green Living Guide It is of course not my usual niche but I enjoyed writing it, I am passionate about green issues, but it just never got any attention. (which is probably because there are so many lenses out there with general tips on how to live green).

What lens of yours is most popular?

Although I am known for my Disney lenses my most popular is actually one of my Gordon Ramsay. My Disney World Secrets – The Best Disney Vacation Guide has always been a close second though.

What’s one thing you see lensmasters doing that doesn’t work – and why doesn’t it?

Making lenses for an audience that just isn’t there. The winning combination is making quality lenses, with great content for a niche audience.

Not as simple as it sounds – it takes time. But put the work in and you will reap the rewards. Don’t make something that you aren’t proud of and wouldn’t be useful to someone looking for information about your topic. The cream really does rise to the top and I see that more and more on Squidoo.

What’s your most important squidoo promotion method?

Lots of things combine to help but very important is my email list and my blogs. I have just started an EverythingMouse blog. There are lots of things that I do. I just think that you have to try the thing that works the best for your particular niche.

Which lensmaster(s) have helped you most?

This is another difficult one as there are many people whom I consider to have inspired me. It seems wrong to name only a few but here goes. I always look to Jimmie as not only is she a great lensmaster but I find her lenses really useful personally as a fellow homeschooler. There are so many others who have inspired me but here are just a few GypsyPirate,rms, bdkz,Janet21,ChefKeem, KimGiancaterino. I have missed out so many but I don’t want this to turn into an Oscar speech!

But the lensmaster who has helped me the most has to be my husband DrRichard. He has made some really great lenses and is my source of encouragement, advice and html code!
